Apply for Admission
Southern State makes it easy to apply for college! We have no mandatory grade point averages, specific test requirements or other intimidating admission guidelines.
Complete an Application for Admission
There is no fee or deadline to submit the application for admission.
If you are a student in grades 7-12 and interested in College Credit Plus (CCP) please complete the College Credit Plus Application for Admission.
Submit a Copy of your High School Transcript
Have a copy of your high school transcript or GED certificate sent to the Admissions Office, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro, OH 45133. A high school transcript or GED certificate is required in order to receive financial aid.
Transfer Students: Request College Transcript
If you have attended another college, contact the Records Office of the previous college(s) and have an official college transcript(s) sent to the 吃瓜不打烊 Records Office, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro, OH 45133.
Complete FAFSA
Students should complete the FAFSA at . Use 吃瓜不打烊 School Code = 012870. After the FAFSA is processed, you can check out the status of your aid offer or additional requirements at .
Note: Financial aid is NOT automatically renewed each year. Students must reapply each year to be considered for financial assistance. FAFSA results received prior to July 1 will be considered for priority aid (SEOG and college Work Study). Scholarship applications received by March 15 will receive priority processing as well.
Additional Note: Classes taken that are not required in the student's major will not be covered by federal financial aid.

For Accuplacer Prep, please visit the Accuplacer Prep webpage to view instructional videos and worksheets. Taking the placement assessment before meeting with an advisor is strongly recommended. *Transfer students who have completed English and/or math at a previous institution may be exempt from this requirement.
Meet with an Advisor

The Advising Center is the first door on the right down hallway 100 on Central Campus and operates from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. However, advising services are offered on all Campus Locations.
Register for Classes
Visit the Registration webpage to access the current Registration Guide for helpful resources and information on registering for classes. For important registration dates, visit the Academic Calendar. Meet with your Advisor to register for classes.

All Tuition & Fees must be paid in full before registration is complete. Payments may be made as follows:
